This survey is comprised of several parts to help with organization and flow. They are as follows:

  • Prescreening

  • Time availability/willingness to complete

  • Demographics

  • 4-H involvement (local, state, and national)

  • Alumni experience

  • Financial support

  • Social media habits

  • Future research opportunity

The survey was live as of February 14, 2018 and as of today, February 16, 2018, we have received 243 total responses. The goal is to have 1,000 within a month’s time. To do this, we will follow our promotion calendar and distribution plan. In addition, we will be checking in on our total responses, weekly, to determine if our efforts are working or if they need to be modified.

Promotion Calendar:

  • YAC Member Networks:

  • Members will reach out to their personal networks to encourage friends, family, colleagues and fellow alumni to drive participation in survey

  • Depending on response levels, members will contact their local state programs for support in driving survey distribution and response as needed

The next phase of this process is analyzing the data collected. I have created a sign up genius for committee members to commit to analyzing research within a subgroup of the questionnaire for trends, to pull ideas and key points, and to create a report for the rest of the committee. At our face to face meeting in Washington, D.C., in March, we will begin discussing the findings as a whole.
