2019 National 4-H Youth Advisory Committee -- I serve as a spokesperson for National 4-H and offer a young alumnus voice in decision making.
National 4-H Conference -- I led a roundtable of current 4-H members to create a presentation discussing the possibility of the USA adopting a youth policy. We presented to the Department of Health and Human Services.
2018 National 4-H Youth Advisory Committee -- I work to support National 4-H Council’s initiatives and advise the Board of Trustees on our plans to reach marketing and fundraising goals with a focus on young alumni.
National 4-H Council Brand Summit -- I presented research conducted by YAC as to how to best serve and engage with young alumni.
Extension Committee on Policy’s 4-H Leadership Committee (ECOP) -- I shared perspectives from youth across the nation as to how to best engage with the youth of tomorrow.
National Association of Extension 4-H Agents Conference -- I presented on the Ohio 4-H LGBTQ+ Summit and led the pledges.
Ohio 4-H Leadership Camp, Counselor -- I taught sessions on motivation and ensured the safety of high school aged campers.

Ohio 4-H Teen Leadership Council, Platinum Advisor -- This is a statewide group of 4-H teens and young 4-H alumni that provides a youth stakeholder perspective in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Ohio 4-H programming. With this position, I am the chair of the Ohio 4-H Teen Luncheon.
Ohio 4-H LGBTQ+ Summit, Committee Member & Event Coordinator -- I am actively seeking out speakers, partners, and donors for this event that serves members of the community and allies from across the nation. This event will occur in April 2018.
National Collegiate 4-H Conference, Planning Committee Member -- I am coordinating the national conference to be held in Columbus, Ohio in 2020.

Carving New Ideas Camp, Counselor -- I was responsible for planning this three day camp for over 90 campers in addition to counseling 10 eighth grade girls.

Centennial Convocation, Washington DC – I was able to collaborate with Extension professionals from
many different states, interviewing attendees about the future of Cooperative Extension. Invited
by Jennifer Sirangelo, Pres. & CEO of National 4-H, to stand and witness the signing of the MOU.
National 4-H Congress – As an Ohio delegate, I participated in educational activities in Atlanta, GA.
Ohio 4-H State Leadership Camp – Awarded by my county for demonstrating leadership skills.
Junior Fair Board Member -- I stepped outside my comfort zone by volunteering at various species
competitions to “lean in” and learn about agricultural industries that were unfamiliar to me.

the students about 4-H. I bring my therapy dog, since my primary 4-H project is Dogs.

4-H Leadership and Promotion
2017 Kosovo 4-H Program Consultant -- I am in contact with the founder and CEO of Kosovo 4-H to help develop their program and exchange ideas and resources.
Ohio 4-H LGBTQ+ Summit, Committee Member & Event Coordinator -- I am working with the Ohio 4-H marketing team to publicize this event and include youth in the planning process.
Ohio 4-H Conference, Teen Luncheon Chair -- I am leading a group of youth through the event planning process to show them how to coordinate speakers, choose a theme, and display a message through the table presentation and resources provided.
2016 LABO Japanese Exchange Orientation Assistant (2016- PRESENT) – Working directly with exchange students from Japan three days when they arrive in the United States and two days before they depart.
Sweden 4-H International Liaison – Visited a 4-H farm in Sweden to compare US & Sweden 4-H
programs. There were many similarities and differences that I learned about from the Director.
Facilitator, National 4-H Conference – Washington DC, USDA/NIFA internship 2016-17 school year.
2015 OSU Immersion Project – For three months, as requested by Dr. L. Miller, two OSU Journalism
students immersed themselves in my life to study & report on what it is to be intensely involved in
4-H, with a focus on the PetPALS program. They followed me at school, home, and 4-H
activities. This was an excellent promotion of 4-H on TV, radio, print, and internet.
Multimedia 4-H Representative – I have promoted 4-H, the Fairfield County Fair, and the Ohio State
Fair with personal appearances and across many forms of media, including NBC’s “Good Day
Columbus”, The Columbus Dispatch. I have been the subject of and authored articles for OSU’s
“The Lantern” and OSU Extension’s “Teen Connections”. I’ve discussed 4-H opportunities on
multiple radio stations. I have recorded two interviews with Connie Smith of the Farm Page.
Dog Safety/Dog Bite Prevention – I visit one Ohio classroom each week to present the 45 minute
educational program I developed as part of my Companion Animal 4-H project. My presentation
is in high demand. To date, I have visited 63 classrooms.
Executive Committee of Teen Advisory Council – I serve as Secretary of the highest youth decision-
making and advisement body in the state's 4-H program. My focus is communications.
2014 Chairperson of Teen Advisory Council, Outreach Committee -- My committee and I traveled to 41
Ohio events to give an informative presentation about TAC & 4-H Older Youth Opportunities.
City Council -- Spoke at Millersport City Council Meeting, promoting 4-H and requesting that
a 4-H sign be erected at Veterans Park. My request was approved, sign is at entrance of park.
School 4-H Liaison – Contacted each Pickerington Board of Education members requesting that
absences from school be deemed “excused” for 4-H educational events. Request approved.
All County 4-H Dog Program Meetings – Helped develop and instruct a monthly meeting for all Fairfield
County 4-H Dog Members. Designed to unify several clubs and better our dog training program.

2013 Dog Program Instructor at 4-H Camp Whitewood – Assisted Kristen VanNess in teaching the dog
training sessions at camp for five days. Worked with beginner and advanced campers and their
dogs. Encouraged participation at Ohio State Fair Dog Show.
2011 Teen Connections -- Wrote an article on leadership for 4-H publication, Ohio Teen Connections. I wrote
about having a 4-H mentor and striving to be one. The article explains the leadership skills
required to execute an event, such as Bark For Life, in which my 4-H Club was able to raise over
$1400.00 for the American Cancer Society and win the OVC Community Service Award.
2009 to 2017
Tar Hollow Camp Counselor -- Cabin counselor, planning committee, helped organize events. Assured
safety while making camps a positive experience for the campers.
Cloverbud Camp Counselor -- Assured the safety of Cloverbud campers while making their first years of
camp a positive experience for them, made signs, helped plan and organize the camps.
4-H Day -- Set up and worked the dog project demonstration ring, providing a hands-on experience to
teach families about 4-H, the dog program, basic dog obedience and dog bite prevention.
4-H Awareness -- Spoke at several elementary school assemblies each year about 4-H opportunities.
Demonstrated dog training with my 4-H therapy dog, brought tri-fold displays and props.
PetPALS Ambassador at Ohio State Fair -- Spoke with the public about 4-H Animal Assisted Therapy.
Brought my dog, and sometimes trained chickens, for the public to touch and talk about.
Dog Clinic 4-H Instructor -- Help new dog project members learn about AKC’s Canine Good Citizen
Test. Our county encourages dog project members to work toward this goal as a minimum.
